The Bureau is a synthetic prospecting unit which multispe-
ciality and technology methods, such as geology, drilling, seism, mapping, well-logging and laboratory testing etc., are integrated.
There are geologic project construct- ion contingents and consultative institutes which belong to the bureau, 4 prospecting teams, a geophysical and survey team, a mechanical manufactory, a academy of coal geology, a digital well-logging station, a coal quality testing station, a foundation engineering company as sub-units etc. There is more than 2500 staff, 185 engineers and economic administrators with middle or senior titles, 16 chief and ordinary supervising engineers among them. The Bureau posses more than 1000 sets varieties of prospecting equipment with more than 110 million yun fixed assets. We also have the first grade qualification of coal prospecting and project supervising.
We have undertaken coal-forecasting, seeking, detailed prospecting, refined prospecting of 20 more coal fields. And more than 310 various geologic reports have been submitted. We have finished such mine area general detailed prospecting and significant mines refined prospecting for the state key coal base construction as yanzhou, Jining, Tengxian, Huangxian, Juye coal fields. 13 mid or large geology reports have been awarded the National High Quality Geology Report Prize successively for 9 times since the all-state high quality geology appraising system established in1979, we got the most in all the nation.
