Chengdu PUTIAN Telecommunications Cable Co., Ltd., (formerly Chengdu Telecommunications Cable Co., Ltd.) is a Sino-foreign joint venture listed in Hong Kong Stock Exchange, which was overall reorganized from Chengdu Cable Plant under Posts & Telecommunications Ministry of China, a plant built in 1958, in October 1994. Its head office is located in Chengdu High-Tech Development Zone with an area of 280,000 square meters, 2000 employees among whom over 700 are all kinds of technical people, and total net asset value of RMB 100 million. It is a large enterprise on the toppest tier and its technology center was recognized by the National Economy & Trade Committee as one of the tentative technology centers of the Toppest 40 State Enterprises and Groups. The company after over 40-year struggling now has evolved into a large telecom cable group possessing over 10 associated joint ventures and issuing shares overseas according to the international rules.
