Suzhou Metallurgical Machinary Plant,a full asset subsidiary of Baosteel Group, is a backbone large size enterprise. The plant possesses high capability of comprehensive designing and manufacturing. It has 2,220 workers of which 23.7% personal are engaged in professional management, engineering and technical work. Occupied area is 330,000 square metres and construction area is 140,000 square metres. There is 8,000 square metres area workshop for pre-treating with the iron material and manufacturing 80 tons large welding structures. In the heavy machine workshop there are two 200-boring machines and one 2.5??8m horizontal milling machine. There is a 50 tons traveling crane in the general assembly workshop. Ability of cementite, nitrification and quenching working procedure is complete and heat treatment workshop has deep furnace. The enterprise obtains and keeps first class of national measure plant, crack unit of forestation and virescence and civilization of Jiangsu province.
