SVOA -- Shanghai VOA Safety Belt Webbing Company Ltd., which is located in the Pudong New Area, is a joint venture born in September 1995, a modern enterprise jointly owned by Shanghai No.3 Weaving Belt Factory and Van Oerle Alberton Holding B.V. of the Netherlands. SVOA is dedicated to the production and sales of auto seat belt webbing, air safety webbing, and various webbings used in different industries. The company has been equipped with the end-of-the-century-level advanced modern weaving and dyeing machines and modern testing and inspection facilities for its products. Its annual product capacity has reached 15 million meters a year.
The operation of SVOA is guided by the principle that the Board is responsible for the leadership and the General Manager is held responsible to the Board. There are four departments and one office under the GM: Production and Operation Department, Production Engineering Department, Quality Control Department, Finance Department and the GM's Office. Engineering and managing staff takes 38% of the total employees.
Since its establishment, the joint venture company has been taking active measures to tap the market, keeping pace with the development of the country's auto industry, taking daring steps to adopt new technique and technology and developing new products. The safety seat belt webbing produced and sold by SVOA have been applied to Santana cars of SVW, Buiks of SGM, Audi, Red Flag and Jetta of FAW, Citron Fukong of Car Maker No.2, and Shali and Dafa (vans) of Tianjin, thereby establishing a very good profile in the China car market and achieving a market share of 40%. While achieving very good economic effect, SVOA has contributed to the country with very good social effect as well.
